18 Keys Project update: July 2022

Lots of exciting events have taken place over the last few months. Read on to find out what has been happening.

Latest fundraising total

The 18 Keys fund now stands at around £357,000 thanks to generous donations from supporters, donors, trusts, foundations and the recent fundraising events.

There’s still a long way to go to reach our goal of £1.8 million, but we’re so pleased to have passed the £350,000 milestone.

No Ball Ball and History Event raise more than £90,000

Our incredible supporters have donated just under £30,000 so far in aid of the No Ball Ball – a non-event celebrating staying at home and avoiding all the hassle of a traditional fundraising ball. We’re still receiving donations here, if you’d like to make a donation or share it with your friends.

Long term 18 Keys supporter Tom Holland and his podcast co-host Dominic Sandbrook held a hugely successful event at St Martin-in-the-Fields in May, raising money for three charities, including 18 Keys. The History of the Whole Wide World in One Hour was sold out and raised more than £60,000 for our much-needed project and two other very worthwhile charities, The Passage and The Amar Foundation.

18 Keys planning application update

At the moment we’re working on submitting our planning proposal to Wandsworth Council.

Our architect partners, Dow Jones Architects, are looking at design options which they are reviewing with our project team.

We will submit a full planning application soon and hope to have a decision by the end of the autumn.
